Here's a quick rundown of my build so far.

Lets start with stock:
Image

Mods so far:
285/70/17 BFG AT KO's
AEM Brute Force CAI
Trail Gear Sliders
All Pro Front Bumper
Gobi Ladder
Cobra 75 w/ Bandi Mount
Hi Lift with Demello Mounts
OME 883 Front Coils

Here's how it looked prior to lift:

Added Rough Country 3" Lift

Added Hella 700FFs
Image

I needed some more 12v outlets so I added 2 in the back and 1 in the front. All 3 are always hot and don't need the key on to work.

Image

Image

I was getting annoyed with the dog jumping over the seats and having stuff all over the back so I bought a barrier, put all my stuff in bags and clipped them to the cage. Dual purpose mod.

Image

Added a the ARB Roof Rack and a little snow to the FJ.

Image

After the last off-road excursion I really got annoyed hearing my stock UCA's slamming against the coils so it was time to install the All Pro Uniball Upper Control Arms. While at it I upgraded the tierods and did a diff drop.

I was experiencing a little tire rub so Overthehump hooked me up with a body mount chop. He did a great job.

Next up... SNORKEL!

Future Mods:
All Pro Rear Bumper
Dual Battery Setup
SCUBA mod

OK wise ass, you just cost me $210.00 for one of those Gobi ladders!

Anything special I'm going to need to know about installation?

Craigslist is an amazing place haha..Sorry about that George.. I think the national forum has a group buy going for $185. Install is INCREDIBLY easy. It took maybe 5 minutes to install. No drilling required. Since I bought used I had to buy new doublesided foam mounting tape, but I only stuck it to the side that attaches to the ladder. I didn't want to leave a residue on the truck. I was a little concerned about it rattling a little, but it is rock solid once mounted. If you want to check it out in person some time let me know.

The Gobi ladder is great. I love it. I use mine all the time to access the roof rack. Installation is a breeze. The only thing is that once it is installed, you can't open the back window more than an inch or so (you can still open it far enough to remove the panel on the inside or the door). I never did use that back window anyways, so for me it's a nice trade off.

Just ordered the Rough Country 3" lift from the Blue Forum Group Buy. Should be here by weeks end. When it comes in I will be trading help (and more importantly knowledge) for beer. Any takers?

The lift is great. Haven't been able to do any real wheeling yet to test it, but I have gone out to the lake and on the gravel access road I noticed a big difference in the ride quality. MUCH smoother. The OMEs up front work out pretty well. Slightly tighter ride. Overall very pleased. And you're right, you can't beat the price.

Mine stays clean for about 3 days then I end up on some dirt road or like this weekend heading up to Mt Charleston and it's back to a mess. But I agree your's could use a wash. I'd offer, but I don't have an entire day free to do it. Maybe instead of a mod party you should throw a wash party. Hooters used to do free bike washes on like wednesdays a few years ago. You should pitch the idea of an FJ wash to them.

That really provided a lot more clearance for your coilover, then the last time i saw it. It looks Great.
